| Clinical effect of Jiawei Fuling Sini Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failure |

Abstract Objective To investigate clinical effect of Jiawei Fuling Sini Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failure. Methods One hundred and seventy-eight patients with chronic heart failure of yang deficiency and blood stasis type admitted to Department of Cardiology of Liaocheng People′s Hospital from March 2018 to October 2019 were divided into control group (89 cases) and observation group (89 cases) according to the random number table method. Control group was treated with conventional Western medicine, and observation group was treated with modified formula granules of Fuling Sini Decoction on the basis of control group. Lee heart failure score, 6-min walking distance, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and N-terminal pro B-type brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) level were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Therapeutic effect of New York Heart Association (NYHA) heart function grading, the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome and the adverse reactions during treatment between two groups were compared. Results Total effective rate of NYHA in observation group was higher than that in control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, Lee heart failure scores in two groups were lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05), and that in observation group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). The walking distance of 6 minutes after treatment in two groups was longer than that before treatment (P < 0.05), and observation group was longer than that in control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05), and observation group was lower than control group (P < 0.05). Total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in observation group was higher than that in control group (P < 0.05). The levels of NT-proBNP in two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05), and that in observation group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). There were no adverse reactions in two groups. Conclusion Jiawei Fuling Sini Decoction can improve the therapeutic effect of chronic heart failure of yang deficiency and blood stasis type, improve the symptoms of heart failure and heart function of patients, and it is safe to use.
