Abstract Retrospective ECG-gated CT angiography (CTA) is a new technology for aorta. It can not only acquire the same information as the routine non-ECG-gated CTA, but also acquire the information of intimal flap motion characterization and the involvement of aortic branch according to multiphase dynamic reconstruction. Therefore, in the case of acute aortic dissection with the involvement of aortic branch, blood-supply of aortic branch can be assessed by retrospective ECG-gated CTA effectively.
