Abstract The acute myocardial infarction is a myocardial damage caused by the sudden interruption of part blood circulation of myocardium. The opening of early target vessels is the key to treat acute myocardial infarction, the thrombolysis and coronary interventional therapy(PCI) have been widely used, and the myocardium detection after reperfusion, the reperfusion of damaged vessels, recovery of reversible injuries, microcirculatory disturbance, structure and motor function of heart and so on all need to be evaluated. Different imaging techniques have different assess priorities for the cardiac function after PCI, and different time periods have different values after PCI. This paper reviews the echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and radionuclide imaging in the assessment of heart at different periods after myocardial reperfusion.
