Abstract Dislocation of temporomandibular joint is a kind of joint dislocation with high incidence. The common cause is excessive mouth opening, such as yawning, long time oral treatment or intubation, or trauma caused by a collision or accident. In the early stage of disease, manual reduction is the most effective treatment method, but at present, simple manual reduction often causes secondary injury to patients. According to the theory of meridians and collaterals of traditional Chinese medicine, combined with the characteristics of massage and clinical experience, professor Cui Shusheng, a national famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor, treated dislocation of temporomandibular joint by point and intraoral reduction. This paper expounds the above experience and gives an example.
