Effect of deep and shallow double channel wire encircling and Kirschner wire fixation on the treatment of the fracture of the inferior patella |

Abstract Objective To study the effect of deep and shallow double bone channel wire encircling and Kirschner wire fixation on the fracture of the inferior patella. Methods From January 2015 to January 2019, 80 patients with infrapatellar fracture who were operated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College were randomly divided into control group (Kirschner wire tension band fixation), observation group (based on the control group combined with deep and shallow double bone channel wire encircling fixation treatment), 40 cases in each group. The operation conditions, postoperative complication rate, operation effect, follow-up results and quality of life scores of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results The operation time, intraoperative hemorrhage, incision length, the times of using C-arm X-ray machine, the total incidence of surgical complications, the time of starting to move to the ground, the time of complete fracture healing and the visual analogue score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (all P < 0.05). The excellent rate of operation and the scores of quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (all P < 0.05). Conclusion The combination of deep and shallow double bone channel wire encircling and Kirschner wire fixation has a significant effect on the treatment of the fracture of the lower pole of patella, which can improve the surgical effect of the patients. The operation time is short, the trauma is small, the recovery is fast, the function of the knee joint is improved satisfactorily, and the quality of life of the patients after operation is improved.
