Abstract Objective To explore the effect of systematic standardized management mode intervention on self-behavior management and quality of life of diabetic patients. Methods A total of 260 diabetic patients admitted to Department of Endocrinology, Liaoning Provincial People′s Hospital from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected. They were divided into control group and observation group, with 130 cases in each group, according to the random number table method. The control group adopted the conventional management mode, while the observation group implemented the systematic standardized management mode. Blood glucose levels, summary of diabetes selfcare activities (SDSCA) scores and diabetes specific quality of life (DSQL) scores were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the levels of fasting blood glucose, 2 h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the two groups were lower than those before intervention, while those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After the intervention, SDSCA scale scores, such as diet management, exercise therapy, blood glucose monitoring, foot care and drug treatment, while DSQL scale scores, such as physiological function, psychological/spiritual dimension, social relationship dimension and treatment dimension in the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, while those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of systematic standardized management mode intervention can effectively stabilize and reduce blood glucose level, improve self-behavior management state, and enhance quality of life of patient.
