Researth on the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on SSI score of depression patients and its therapeutic effect |

Abstract Objective To study the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on the score of Baker scale for suicidal ideation (SSI) in patients with depression and its therapeutic effect. Methods From September 2018 to June 2019, 112 cases with depressive patients who admitted to Ningbo Mental Hospital were selected as research subjects. They were divided into the control group and the experimental group according to the random number table method, with 56 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Escitalopram Oxalate, while the experimental group was treated with rTMS on the basis of the control group. The total effective rate, Hamilton depression scale-17 (HAMD-17) score, SSI score, the level of myelin basic protein (MBP) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant difference in HAMD-17 and SSI scores between the two groups (P > 0.05). The HAMD-17 and SSI scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the experimental group was lower than the control group (all P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in serum MBP and BDNF levels between the two groups before treatment (P > 0.05). The serum MBP levels of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the experimental group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). The levels of BDNF were higher than those before treatment, and the experimental group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The effect of rTMS on depressive patients is significant, which can significantly alleviate depression, greatly reduce suicidal ideation, and effectively regulate the level of MBP and BDNF in serum.
