Abstract Teaching is also an academic. In the process of teaching, a reasonable teaching design can guide the teaching, strengthen the students′ grasp of the course content, optimize the knowledge vein system, and improve the students′ independent learning ability and comprehensive quality. For teachers, they can improve their professional level, sublimate their knowledge and improve their teaching quality. Teaching design plays an important role in classroom teaching, so it requires teachers to carefully optimize the structure of the course, and temper the classroom design of each class. This paper mainly shows the author′s teaching design of Huangtu Decoction, a famous prescription of traditional Chinese medicine, from the two aspects of pre-class system and teaching activity process, in order to fill a corner for the teaching of formulas of Chinese medicine.
