Abstract It is the cornerstone and guarantee for the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine and the implementation of the strategy of traditional Chinese medicine to carry out the cultural and scientific research of traditional Chinese medicine. At present, the research work of traditional Chinese medicine culture and science has not produced strategic research results that affect the overall situation in terms of top-level planning, core and key issues, team and institution building, and modernization and application of scientific research methods. Under the new situation, we should start from the height of cultural power building, from the respect and use of scientific research rules, clarify the focus and breakthrough of Chinese medicine culture research, strengthen team building and the application of new scientific and technological means. Carry out method reform, and give full play to the leading, supporting and serving role of Chinese medicine culture research.
