| Discussion on protection and development of geographical indication products of traditional Chinese medicine |

Abstract Traditional Chinese medicine as a unique health resource with Chinese characteristics, embodies the health concept of the Chinese nation and practical experience formed during thousands of years. Traditional Chinese medicine plays an important role in maintaining people′s health. Due to the short time we studied in and few achievements we got from the protection for traditional Chinese medicine products of geographical indications, more further studies on the integration of the right of geographical indications and traditional Chinese medicine should be made. Based on the analysis of the development of traditional Chinese medicine products of geographical indications, this paper aims to find out the existing problems and deficiencies when protecting the protection of geographical indication products of traditional Chinese medicine in China, and put forward corresponding suggestions and strategies.
