Advances on the role of Wnt signaling pathway in rheumatoid arthritis |

Abstract The typical pathological changes of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are synovitis and bone destruction, which eventually lead to joint deformity and disability. Wnt signaling pathway plays a wide role in synovitis and bone destruction, and is an important factor in the progression of RA. Wnt signaling pathway is closely related to the dysfunction of RA chondrocytes, osteoblasts and osteoclasts, and promotes the production of RA-related pathological factors. This review summarizes the relationship between Wnt signaling pathway and synovitis and bone erosion in RA, and the treatment targeting Wnt signaling pathway.
