| Clinical effect of Wuling Capsules combined with Fluoxetine Capsules in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with heart-kidney disharmony and emotional handicap |

Abstract Objective To explore clinical effect of Wuling Capsules combined with Fluoxetine Capsules in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with heart-kidney disharmony and emotional handicap. Methods One hundred and three type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with heart-kidney disharmony and emotional handicap in Aerospace Center Hospital from May 2017 to December 2018 were selected for the study. The patients were divided into control group (n = 51) and treatment group (n = 52) according to random number table method. Both groups received routine glycemic control therapy. Fluoxetine Hydrochloride Capsules were taken orally in control group. Wuling Capsules were taken orally in treatment group on the basis of control group. Patients in both groups received continuous treatment for 12 weeks. Clinical efficacy, Hamilton depression rating scale (HDRS-17) score, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, blood glucose level, HOMA-IR and adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results Total clinical effective rate of treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, HDRS-17 score and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in treatment group were lower than those in control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, fasting blood-glucose, glycated albumin and HOMA-IR in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in treatment group were lower than those in control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Wuling Capsules combined with Fluoxetine Capsules has obvious effect and high safety in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with heart-kidney disharmony and emotional handicap. It can also effectively reduce the degree of depression of patients, improve the level of blood glucose and insulin resistance, which is worthy of clinical attention.
