Application value of ABVS system in PBL teaching mode of breast ultrasound medical standardization training |

Abstract Standardized training for resident doctor is an important part of medical education. The traditional teaching mode is teacher-centered, while students are in passive learning. The problem-based learning (PBL) is to guide students to acquire knowledge actively. This teaching mode is gradually popular in medical education. Breast ultrasound is a highly specialized branch of ultrasound, and its images vary greatly among individuals. In order to improve the understanding of breast diseases among residents in ultrasound department, we introduced automate breast volume scanning (ABVS) system on the basis of PBL teaching mode. This system can conduct three-dimensional imaging of the mammary gland, which is more conducive to the observation of the breast structure and lesions, reducing the rate of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. This teaching mode significantly improves the initiative and enthusiasm of the students in the study of breast ultrasound, and has a profound understanding of the characteristics of typical sonograms of breast diseases and the classification of breast image reports and data systems, and the teaching effect is remarkable. In addition, this teaching model requires teachers to devote more energy to constantly improve their professional knowledge and teaching ability.
