Abstract Objective Delphi method was used to construct the course of clinical nutrition for the elderly suitable for the continuing education and training of community nurses. Methods From October 2017 to January 2018, 28 experts with rich experience in aging, nutrition, community and education in tertiary hospitals, community hospitals and nursing colleges in Guangdong Province were selected. Three rounds of nursing experts questionnaire consultation were carried out, and the data was analyzed. Results The curriculum of clinical nutrition for the elderly for community nurses was constructed. The questionnaire recovery rates in the three rounds of correspondence consultation were 100.0%, 92.9% and 89.3% respectively. The rates of putting forward opinions were 42.6%, 23.1% and 4.0%, respectively. The authoritative coefficients of experts are respectively 0.88, 0.89 and 0.88, the authoritative coefficients of Delphi methool ≥0.7. Conclusion Applying Delphi method to establish the course of clinical nutrition for the elderly applicable to the training of community nurses has higher reliability, which can provide reference for the continuing education of community nurses.
