| Study on the dilemma and development path of medical social work in China |

Abstract Medical social work has been carried out in China for nearly 30 years, but there is no prosperous situation so far. The reasons are as follows, the current situation of medical social work restricts the development prospect, the lack of talents restricts the quality of development, inadequate support systems are hampering the pace of development, the weak consciousness of theoretical research problems restricts the aftereffect of development. The development of medical social work must be based on the analysis of the root causes of “problems”, and form the synergy of system guarantee, social support, talent training and theoretical research around “problems”, so as to provide favorable conditions for the development of medical social work in the new era.
