Abstract Breast cancer is a most common malignancy of women. The characteristics of breast cancer, such as high incidence and good prognosis, make follow-up an important part of breast cancer management. Knowing about current progress will help us to carry out better follow-up strategies. The adherence to follow-up may be related to different patients characteristics, living area, age groups and treatment regimen. Individualized follow-up strategy has become a trend for breast cancer patients′ follow-up management. Meanwhile, more psychological interventions should be added to the work. This article reviews the current breast cancer follow-up strategies and will benefit for the long-time management of breast cancer patients.
