Abstract Objective To evaluate the effect of Sugammadex on postoperative nausea and vomiting. Methods The randomized controlled trials related to Sugammadex and postoperative nausea and vomiting were collected from PubMed, Embase, The Cochrane Library, CNKI and Wanfang databases. This meta-analysis was performed by Stata 15 software. Results Finally 21 RCT with 2248 patients were included. The meta-analysis showed that Sugammadex was better than Neostigmine in reducing the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (RR = 0.69, 95%CI: 0.57-0.85, P < 0.001), and 2 mg/kg group could lower the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (RR = 0.69, 95%CI: 0.54-0.87, P < 0.01), but 4 mg/kg could not lower the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (RR = 0.71, 95%CI: 0.50-1.02, P > 0.05). Conclusion Sugammadex is better than Neostigmine in reducing the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting.
