| Application of medical translation team model in training and selecting medical translation talents |

Abstract As globalization is increasingly deepening, medical translation activities have become more and more active. However, now in China, there are some false understandings and practices in the way of training and selecting medical translators/interpreters. This paper points that there should be no excessive pursuit of the combination of language skills and medical knowledge, and it is necessary to build a medical translation team including translators/interpreters, medical counselors and corpus technicians. The feasibility of the team is also analyzed from the perspective of corpus. In the model of the medical translation team, competent translators/interpreters are the core of competence, medical counselors are responsible for the preciseness of medical knowledge, and corpus producers accumulate corpus resources. With their close relations and cooperation, medical translation and interpretation tasks can be better delivered.
