Abstract Talin (ankle protein) as an important protein in integrin activation and signal transduction, Talin mediates cell movement and is an important regulatory protein in the occurrence and development of motion-related diseases. It controls integrin activation from inside-out and action wire anchoring, and plays an important role in the establishment of mechanical coupling between actin and extracellular matrix. Talin regulates the adhesion and differentiation of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs), so it is closely related to the onset and progression of various cardiovascular diseases. In addition, Talin also plays an important role in the occurrence, metastasis and treatment of tumors. In this paper, the structure of Talin, its biological characteristics in cell adhesion dynamics, and its regulatory role in related cardiovascular diseases were comprehensively described.
