Abstract Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in China. The early diagnosis rate of gastric cancer is low, the degree of malignancy is high, and the prognosis is poor, which seriously threatens the health of our people. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is one of the non-coding RNA, which plays an important role in the progress of cancer. Studies have shown that lncRNA plays an important role in the malignant progression of gastric cancer either as an oncogene or as an anti-oncogene gene or plays an important role in tumor resistance. This paper summarizes recent studies on the role of lncRNA in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, and explores the mechanism of lncRNA, which provides relevant theoretical basis for lncRNA as a biological target for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of gastric cancer.
