Effect of two non-invasive positive pressure ventilation modes combined with Poractant Alfa in the treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome |

Abstract Objective To approach effect of two non-invasive positive pressure ventilation modes combined with Poractant Alfa (Curosurf) in the treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome. Methods Clinical data of 120 children with neonatal respiratory distress syndrome in Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital, Tongji University Medicine School from December 2017 to December 2018 were analyzed, and they were divided into two groups by different ventilation modes, treatment group Ⅰ (NCPAP ventilation mode) 60 cases and treatment group Ⅱ (SiPAP ventilation mode) 60 cases. The PaO2, partial pressure of carbon dioxide in artery (PaCO2), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), FEV1%Pred and FEV1/forced vital capacity (FVC) of children in two groups before and after treatment were observed; the non-invasive ventilation time, oxygen therapy time, clinical symptom remission time, hospitalization duration, clinical treatment total effect rate of children in two groups were observed. Results The PaO2, PaCO2, FEV1, FEV1%Pred, FEV1/FVC% of children in two groups before treatment were compared, the differences were no statistical significance (P > 0.05). After treatment, the PaO2, FEV1, FEV1%Pred, FEV1/FVC% of children in two groups were higher than before treatment, PaCO2 were lower than before treatment, and PaO2, FEV1, FEV1%Pred, FEV1/FVC% of children in treatment group Ⅱ were higher than treatment group Ⅰ, PaCO2 were lower than treatment group Ⅰ; the non-invasive ventilation time, oxygen therapy time, clinical symptom remission time, hospitalization duration of children in treatment group Ⅱ were shorter than treatment group Ⅰ, clinical treatment total effect rate of children in treatment group Ⅱ was higher than treatment group Ⅰ, the differences were statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion SiPAP ventilation mode combined with Curosurf in the treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, can improve blood oxygen partial pressure, pulmonary function of children obviously, decrease treatment time, and increase clinical treatment efficiency, it is worthy of clinical application.
