Abstract Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of primary cough headache, to enhance the understanding for primary cough headache and improve the therapeutic effect. Methods A total of 17 patients with primary cough headache diagnosed and treated in the Headache Clinic of Department of Neurology in the 988th Hospital of PLA from January 2017 to January 2018 were collected to observe their clinical manifestations and therapeutic effects, and the summary and analysis was performed by combining with literatures. Results Among the 17 cases of patients, 11 cases were male and 6 cases were female, the onset age was ranged from 10 to 65 years old, and the medical history was ranged from 18 h to 4 months.
