| Clinical effect of Modified Zishen Tongguan Pills in the treatment of chronic urinary tract infection with syndrome of kidney deficiency and dampness heat |

Abstract Objective To observe the clinical effect of Modified Zishen Tongguan Pills in the treatment of chronic urinary tract infection with syndrome of kidney deficiency and dampness heat. Methods From February 2016 to February 2018, 60 patients with chronic urinary tract infection admitted to Shunyi Hospital of Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sensitive antibiotics, on basis of which, the treatment group was treated with the Modified Zishen Tongguan Pills (Cortex Cinnamomi 6 g, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae 6 g, Cortex Phellodendri 6 g, Herba Plantaginis 15 g). The count of white blood cells (high magnification), count of bacterial colonies in urine routine, clinical efficacy and traditional Chinese medicine symptom effects were observed and compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the count of white blood cells and count of bacterial colonies in the urine routine of the two groups were lower than those before treatment (P ＜ 0.05), which of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The result of clinical efficacy showed that the total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The result of traditional Chinese medicine symptom effect showed that the total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine symptom in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Modified Zishen Tongguan Pills have good clinical effects in treating chronic urinary tract infection.
