Pathogenesis and non-surgical treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis |

Abstract This paper introduces the pathogenesis and non-surgical treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), which is widely accepted at present. It concludes that the causes of AIS are polygenic genetic factors, nervous system regulation and biomechanical abnormalities, hormone secretion abnormalities, etc. Non-surgical treatment includes exercise therapy, brace therapy, electrotherapy and massage therapy, etc. The cause of AIS has not been determined yet, but a lot of experiments have been carried out for various factors, and a lot of results have been obtained. However, the conclusions of each experimental are different, and it still needs to be further explored. In addition, the majority of AIS patients who take non-surgical treatment, can achieve good therapeutic effect through scientific and reasonable standardized treatment.
