Abstract Corin is a recently discovered Ⅱ type transmembrane serine protease, which is produced in cardiomyocytes, and let cardioascular active peptide precursor enzyme converte to bioactive peptide. Corin plays an important role in reducing blood volume, regulating fluid balance, controlling blood pressure and improving heart function, which is a kind of new biomarkers of heart failure. More and more studies have found that Corin is not only related to heart failure, but also related to the development of hypertension, coronary heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases.
