Abstract Objective To study and analyze the clinical application rules of intensity-associated parameters of acupressure. Methods Taking “acupressure” as title index word, the published SCI literatures were retrieved in PubMed database from January 1, 2014 to January 31, 2018. According to the relevant parameter information of 5 types of acupressure, such as magnitude of force, direction of force, point of force application, area of thrust surface, time/frequency, the literatures were divided into “description” and “no description”, and the literatures with “description” were taken descriptive classification and clustering analysis. Results Fifty-five usable data elements were obtained and classified according to the relevant parameters of acupressure, among which, there were 12 data elements that all 5 parameters were described, accounting for 21.8%; 0 data element had “no description”. Conclusion In recent five years, among the acupressure literatures recorded by SCI, the application of intensity-associated parameters is not uniform. There are some problems, such as missing, error and blurry parameters, lower standardization levels of intensity-associated parameters of acupressure
