Abstract Objective To compare the difference between antral follicle count (AFC), anti Mullerian hormone (AMH) and sex hormone in predicting ovarian function. Methods From January 2014 to December 2015, in Reproductive Center, Cangzhou People's Hospital, 284 female infertility patients received in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) treatment were selected as the research object, according to the number of oocytes, they were divided into groups of poor ovarian response group (193 cases) and normal ovarian response group (91 cases). Before treatment by transvaginal ultrasound, the diameter 3-10 mm AFC number were calculated, on the third day of menstrual blood test AMH and basal hormone levels (FSH, LH, E2, FSH/LH ratio), the sensitivity and specificity of AFC, AMH and sex hormone in the evaluation of ovarian reserve function were analyzed. Results AMH and AFC of poor ovarian response group were less than the normal ovarian response group, FSH and E2 value of poor ovarian response group was higher than the normal ovarian response group, FSH/LH value of poor ovarian response group was more than the normal ovarian response group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The sensitivity and specificity of AMH projecting poor ovarian response were 0.91 and 0.72, the sensitivity and specificity of AFC were 0.88 and 0.93, the sensitivity and specificity of FSH/LH were 0.78 and 0.72, these were higher than the levels of single basal sex hormones. Conclusion The sensitivity and specificity of AFC, AMH and FSH/LH predicting ovarian reserve function are stronger than those of single hormone FSH, LH and E2.
