Abstract Influence factors of uncertainty in illness of family members mainly includes family sex, education level、economic level、relationship with patients，the patient's condition changes and patients entered the ICU. Related factors include social support, coping style, quality of life, care needs. The strategies reduce families' uncertainty mainly includes improving the visit system, meeting the needs of families to visit; actively communicate with their families, to win the families′ trust; mobilizing the social support system, and actively encouraging families should cope positively; diversified education, provide information support, so as to provide reference for the implementation of the interventions.
