| Determination of effective components in Banlangen Granules and research progress of pharmacological effects |

Abstract Banlangen Granules are composed of two kinds of Chinese medicinal materials, which are Radix Isatidis and Folium Isatidis. They mainly contain alkaloids, organic acids, glycosides, amino acids, glucosinolates and their metabolites, metals and other ingredients. It has the effects of anti-pathogenic microorganisms, anti-endotoxin, improving immune function, anti-tumor, anti-aging, protection and prevention of metal poisoning, and so on. By measuring the effective components in Banlangen Granules, the quality of Radix Isatidis is improved to ensure the safety of this drug in clinical use. This paper reviews the effective components, determination methods, pharmacological effects and practical clinical application of Banlangen Granules, and provides some reference for the future research of Banlangen Granules.
