Simultaneous determination on the contents of five constituents in Taile Granules by HPLC |

Abstract Objective To establish a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the simultaneous determination on the contents of five constituents (liquorice, hyperoside, baicalin, baicalein and schisandrin) in Taile Granules. Methods The acetonitrile-0.1% phosphoric acid aqueous solution was eluted by gradient elution. The detection wavelength was 270 nm, the total flow rate was 1.0 mL/min, the injection volume was 10 μL, and the column temperature was 30℃. Results Liquorice, hyperoside, baicalin, baicalein and schisandrin showed good linear relationships within the ranges of 1.96-19.58 μg/mL (r = 0.9999), 1.65-16.52 μg/mL (r = 0.9998), 11.71-117.12 μg/mL (r = 0.9999), 1.63-16.26 μg/mL (r = 0.9999) and 1.23-12.28 μg/mL (r = 0.9999), whose average recoveries (RSD) were 101.75% (0.98%), 102.32% (1.70%), 98.03% (1.35%), 99.52% (1.54%) and 100.12% (1.27%), respectively. Conclusion This method is simple and can be used for the quality control of Taile Granules.
