Abstract Objective To explore the dynamic change characteristics of thromboelastogram in pregnancy women′s. Methods From January to November 2018, a total of 150 pregnant women who were admitted to Liuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were in the pregnancy group, which were divided into the early pregnancy group (n = 47), the middle pregnancy group (n = 53) and the late pregnancy group (n = 50) according to the gestational week. The control group included 50 women who were not pregnant. TEG parameters and routine blood coagulation indexes were measured and compared among the control group, pregnancy group, and the postpartum period. Results The R and K values of the pregnancy group were significantly lower than those of the control group, while the Angle and MA values were significantly higher than those of the control group, with highly statistically significant differences (P < 0.01). The R and K values of the middle and late pregnancy group were significantly lower than those of the early pregnancy group, while the Angle and MA values were significantly higher than those of the early pregnancy group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The K value of the late pregnancy group was significantly lower than that of the middle pregnancy group, and the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). There were highly significant statistical differences in R, K, Angle and MA values at all postpartum time points (P < 0.01). With the development of postpartum time, R value and K value gradually increased, while Angle and MA value gradually decreased. There were highly statistically significant differences in ATPP, fibrinogen and Ti between pregnant groups (P < 0.01). Conclusion The indicators of TEG at different stages of pregnancy and postpartum have corresponding changes, which can reflect the changes of coagulation function dynamically.
