| Fatigue of systemic lupus erythematosus patients and its influencing factors |

Abstract Objective To investigate the fatigue status and the influencing factors of fatigue in systemic lupus erythematosus patients. Methods Two hundred and one patients enrolled from Rheumatic Immunology Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University from May to July 2017 were investigated with self-designed questionnaire, fatigue severity scale, self-rating anxiety scale, self-rating depression scale, NRS pain scoring and Pittsburgh sleep quality index. Results Ninety-nine patients (49.3%) showed fatigue. Average family monthly income, depression and pain were the influencing factors. The rate of fatigue in patients with average family monthly income between 2000 to 5000 RMB was lower than patients with income less than 2000 RMB (P ＜ 0.05). The higher the degree of depression, the higher the rate of fatigue (P ＜ 0.01). Fatigue rate was higher in patients with moderate or above pain (P ＜ 0.01). Conclusion Fatigue problem of low-income people should be paid more attention. To reduce fatigue, psychological methods should be adopted to relieve depression, and measures should be taken to alleviate pain.
