Abstract Objective To establish the quality standard of Jinchanzhiyang Granules. Methods The contents of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Sophora flavescens, Phellodendron amurense Rupr. in Jinchanzhiyang Granules were identified by using thin layer chromatography (TLC) method. The contents of Berberine, Osthole were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method. Results TLC had strong specificity and high separation. Negative control without interference. The linear range was 0.00648-0.1296 μg for Berberine (r=0.9996) and 0.0045-0.1125 μg for Osthole (r=0.9996) respectively. The average recovery was 99.16% (RSD=1.21%), 99.22% (RSD=1.33%) respectively. the content of Berberine and Osthol was 0.1135, 0.0310 mg/g respectively. Conclusion The method is accurate and simple, and can be used for the quality control of Jinchanzhiyang Granules.
