Abstract Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) and its receptor (IGF-1R) are important components of insulin-like growth factor, IGF-1, the activation of IGF-1R may be closely related to the occurrence and development of various malignant tumors. It is suggested that the relationship between IGF-1, IGF-1R and malignant tumors can be studied in order to provide reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors. Renal cell carcinoma is a common malignant tumor. The expression of IGF-1, IGF-1R in RCC and its clinical significance can be helpful for the diagnosis and treatment of renal cell carcinoma. This article is mainly about the structure and function of IGF-1, IGF-1R, the relationship between IGF-1, IGF-1R and malignant tumor, the expression of IGF-1, IGF-1R in renal cell carcinoma, and the analysis of IGF-1, IGF-1R is a molecular targeted therapy for renal cell carcinoma.
