| Clinical effect of Yougui Pills combined with Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets in the treatment of hypothyroidism |

Abstract Objective To observe the clinical effect of Yougui Pills combined with Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets in the treatment of hypothyroidism. Methods One hundred cases of patients with hypothyroidism treated in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from June 2015 to June 2016 were selected as research objects, and they were randomly divided into control group and experimental group according to random, double blind, control principle, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets, on basis of which, the experimental group received Yougui Pills. Three months later, the clinical curative effect, scores of TCM syndrome and indexes of thyroid function between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of experimental group (94.0%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (80.0%), the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the scores of TCM syndrome of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the experimental group was significantly lower than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the contents of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the contents of serum free triiodothyronine three (FT3) and free triiodothyronine four (FT4) were significantly higher than those before treatment, and the content of TSH in the experimental group after treatment was significantly lower than that of the control group, while the contents of FT3 and FT4 were significantly higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Yougui Pills combined with Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets in the treatment of hypothyroidism can not only increase the treatment efficiency but also improve the thyroid function of patients, which is worthy of promotion.
