Research progress on mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine against drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa |

Abstract Pseudomonas aeruginosa has become one of the most common pathogens of nosocomial infection in clinic, and its drug resistance has made it more difficult to treat the infection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The drug resistance mechanism of multidrug resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MDR-PA) is complex and changeable, and it often produces multiple drug resistance by simultaneous effects of multiple drug resistance mechanisms. Application of traditional Chinese medicine against drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa is expected to postpone, to inhibit or even reverse the drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Traditional Chinese medicine can intervene in multiple links in the production of drug resistance of MDR-PA. This article reviews the research progress on mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine against drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These studies provide new research methods and ideas for further study of traditional Chinese medicine against drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
