| The efficacy of thunder-fire moxibustion combined with Dog-days Paste in the treatment of patients with chronic diarrhea |

Abstract Objective To investigate the efficacy of thunder-fire moxibustion combined with Dog-days Paste in the treatment of chronic diarrhea. Methods Form July to August 2017, 68 patients with chronic diarrhea were admitted to the Outpatient Department of Yangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. They were randomly divided into the treatment group (35 cases) and the control group (33 cases). The treatment group was treated with thunder-fire moxibustion combined with Dog-days Paste, and the control group was treated with Bifid-triple Viable combined with Dioctahedral Smectite, and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results After one month of treatment, 22 patients in the treatment group showed significant efficacy, 13 patients showed improvement, and the total effective rate reached 100.0%. In the control group, 5 patients had significant efficacy, 12 patients improved, 16 patients were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 51.5%. The total effective rate of the two groups was compared, and the difference was highly statistically significant (P ＜ 0.01). Conclusion The effect of thunder-fire moxibustion combined with Dog-days Paste in the treatment of chronic diarrhea is significantly better than that of Bifid-triple Viable combined with Dioctahedral Smectite.
