| Clinical effect of self-made Zishen Tiaogan Decoction combined with auricular acupoint pressure in the treatment of perimenopausal syndrome |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of self-made Zishen Tiaogan Decoction combined with auricular point sticking pressure in the treatment of perimenopausal syndrome. Methods Ninety-eight patients with perimenopausal syndrome admitted to Hubei Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January 2015 to December 2017 were selected and divided into control group and treatment group by random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with auricular point sticking pressure, and the treatment group was treated with Zishen Tiaogan Decoction on the basis of control group. Both groups were treated with 3 courses of treatment and 4 weeks was as a course of treatment. The modified Kupperman scores of the two groups were evaluated and compared before and after treatment. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. The levels of serum estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) in the two groups were detected and compared. The occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment was recorded and compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of modified Kupperman in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, moreover, the modified Kupperman scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the differences were all statisticall significam (P ＜ 0.05). The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the serum E2 levels in both groups were higher than those before treatment, while the serum FSH and LH levels were lower than those before treatment, and the serum E2 levels in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, while the serum FSH and LH levels were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P ＜ 0.05). During the treatment, no obvious adverse reactions occurred in either group. Conclusion Zishen Tiaogan Decoction combined with auricular point sticking in the treatment of perimenopausal syndrome has significant clinical efficacy, which can obviously improve symptoms, effectively regulate the level of sexual hormones in the body, with a good safety.
