Abstract Objective To study the application effect of 3D printing technology in the manufacture of lead block for radiotherapy. Methods Patients in the simulator for placement and fixed position, and orientation films, according to the doctors by target areas for research and development of 3D printing to lead block is making model of production, making good lead block in the validation on fixed, with positioning chamber of tumor target shape, check wild and keep out of the light shooting with positioning room tumor target shapes are consistent. Results 3D printing of the production of the shooting field lead block makes the shape of the irradiation field coincide with the shape of the target area, and makes the production of the lead block cheaper, more convenient and more accurate. Conclusion 3D printing technology for the production of lead block has been proved to be an effective, popularizing and cheaper method for the production of lead block in radiotherapy.
