Construction and application effect evaluation of integrated management platform of intelligent hospital based on big data analysis |

Abstract Objective To evaluate the construction and application effect of integrated management platform of intelligent hospital based on big data analysis and to discuss the optimization and promotion countermeasures. Methods Since January 2017, an integrated management platform of intelligent hospital based on big data analysis has been established in the Second People′s Hospital of Changzhou City (“our hospital” for short), covering the digital information management system in the hospital and the information service platform outside the hospital. The changes of various data such as the hospital medical quality index, workload, staff satisfaction, patient′s visit smoothness, satisfaction, hospitalization day, treatment cost before (from January to December 2016) and after the establishment of the integrated management platform (from January to December 2017) were compared, and the application effect of the integrated management platform of intelligent hospital was evaluated. Results The utilization rate of beds in our hospital in 2017 and the total bed days occupied by discharged patients were higher than those in 2016. The employee satisfaction in our hospital in 2017 was higher than that in 2016, and the patient′s smooth degree and satisfaction degree were higher than those in 2016, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). In 2017, the average number of days in hospital and the average cost of treatment for patients in our hospital were lower than those in 2016, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The integrated management platform of intelligent hospital based on big data analysis can improve the hospital operation efficiency, reduce the hospitalization time and treatment cost of patients, which is worthy of further optimization and extensive promotion.
