Abstract The anatomy of the wrist joint is complex and easily damaged. As a routine examination, the X-ray is often difficult to clearly distinguish the fracture site and the degree of injury due to skeletal overlap. Multi-slice spiral CT and post-processing techniques can clearly show the location and dislocation of the fracture, but the damage to the articular cartilage, tendon and ligament is less than that of magnetic resonance imaging. With the improvement and development of ultrasound technology, the evaluation of wrist injury has added a new method of image examination. It is of great significance to make full use of various imaging methods and to apply a variety of inspection techniques to diagnose wrist injuries. This article reviews the research progress of different imaging examination methods for the diagnosis of wrist injury.
