Effect of nutritional intervention guided by NRS2002 nutritional risk screening on patients with compensatory cirrhosis |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of nutritional intervention guided by NRS2002 nutritional risk screening on patients with compensatory cirrhosis. Methods Ninety-eight patients with cirrhosis treated by the Department of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, Nantong Third Hospital Affiliated to Nantong University Nantong Third People’s Hospital from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group received routine nutrition care, and the observation group received nutrition intervention guided by NRS2002 nutrition risk screening on this basis. The level of serum nutrition index, liver function index, and complication rate of the two groups were observed and compared before intervention and eight weeks after intervention. Results After intervention, the levels of serum albumin, transferrin, and prealbumin in two groups were higher than that before intervention, and those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); after intervention, the levels of total bilirubin and alanine transaminase in two groups were lower than that before intervention, and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the level of prothrombin activity was higher than that before intervention, and the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); the total complication rate of observation group was lower than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Nutrition assessment and management can improve the nutritional level, protect liver function and reduce the risk of complications.
