| Visual analysis of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of urinary tract infection based on CiteSpace |

Abstract Objective To visually analyze the literature in the treatment of urinary tract infection by traditional Chinese medicine in the past 20 years. Methods The relevant literatures on traditional Chinese medicine treatment of urinary tract infection from 2003 to 2023 were retrieved from CNKI, VIP, and Wanfang Data, and CiteSpace software was used to analyze the annual number of publications, authors, institutions, and keywords. Results A total of 1 562 literature were included, and the number of published papers showed a downward trend in recent years. Among different authors, Professor Sun Wei published the most papers, and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine published the most papers. The keyword atlas showed that the heat of integrated Chinese and western medicine treatment and chronic pyelonephritis were high. The keywords with strong recent emergence were data mining, Relinqing Granules, recurrent urinary tract infection. Conclusion In the past 20 years, the treatment of urinary tract infection by traditional Chinese medicine has attracted wide attention. Chronic pyelonephritis and the treatment of integrated Chinese and western medicine are the main research hotspots. The future research trend may be the in-depth study on the treatment of recurrent urinary tract infection and the mechanism of action and clinical efficacy evaluation of Relinqing Granules.
