| Two cases of atypical amniotic fluid embolism |

Abstract Atypical amniotic fluid embolism is a complication of delivery, which is easily misdiagnosed, unpredictable and with high maternal mortality. This article reviewed 2 cases of atypical amniotic fluid embolism, and to discusses the clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatment of atypical amniotic fluid embolism, and summarized the key points of successful rescue. In this study, typical amniotic fluid embolism symptoms was absent in 2 patients, the main manifestation was sharp deterioration of coagulation function, both patients were successfully rescued and retained the uterus. Atypical amniotic fluid embolism lacks circulation and respiratory symptoms, and early diagnosis is difficult, which is easily confused with postpartum hemorrhage. Correcting coagulation function as soon as possible and maintaining effective contractions are the key to successful rescue and the prerequisite for successful preservation of the uterus.
