| Efficacy observation of Sipo Pigmentum treatment for skin allergy after PICC catheterization in cancer patients |

Abstract Objective To investigate the efficacy of Sipo Pigmentum treatment for skin allergy after peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) catheterization in cancer patients. Methods From April 2016 to May 2017, 60 cancer patients with skin allergy after PICC catheterization treated in Department of Oncology, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University were selected, they were divided into experiment group and control group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The experiment group was given Sipo Pigmentum, and the control group was given Eloson Cream. The improvement of allergic skin and the incidence of related complications after medication were observed and recorded. Results After medication for 5, 10 days, the curative effect of the experiment group was better than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01); the skin allergy cure time of the experiment group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). The incidence of detubation, infection of the experiment group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Sipo Pigmentum has an outstanding efficacy for skin allergy after PICC catheterization, which decreases the incidence of infection and other ralated complications.
