| Influence of construction of care ward on psychological characteristics, sleep disorders and pain beliefs of chemotherapy patients with giant cell tumor of bone |

Abstract Objective To discuss the influence of the construction of care ward on the psychological characteristics, sleep disorders and pain beliefs of chemotherapy patients with giant cell tumor of bone. Methods From May 2015 to May 2017, in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, 88 chemotherapy patients with giant cell tumor of bone and were selected, they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 44 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care, the observation group was given the using of care ward on the basis of control group. The psychological characteristics, sleep disorders and pain beliefs of patients in two groups were compared. Results Compared with before intervention, the proportion of patients of pessimistic despair, fear, anger, fantasy, selfishness, anxiety, loneliness, and denial in the two groups after intervention decreased, which of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Compared with before intervention, the scores of sleep time, sleep disorder, fall-sleep time, sleep efficiency, daytime function, sleeping drug scores in the two groups after intervention decreased, which of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Compared with before intervention, the scores of the pain control belief, the mood faith of pain, the drug conviction of pain, the pain disability belief and the belief of pain tolerance in the two groups after intervention increased, which of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The construction of care ward applied to the intervention of patients with giant cell tumor of bone can effectively alleviate adverse psychological characteristics of patients, improve the condition of sleep disorders, promote the patients′ pain beliefs.
