Application of failure mode and effect analysis model in prevention of postoperative complications after transfemoral intervention |

Abstract Objective To explore the application of failure mode and effect analysis model in prevention of postoperative complications after transfemoral intervention. Methods A total of 100 patients admitted to the Sixth People’s Hospital of Nantong, Jiangsu Province undergoing transfemoral intervention from December 2019 to January 2022 were selected by cluster sampling. They were divided into reference group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with routine nursing, and the observation group was treated with failure mode and effect analysis mode, the nursing quality and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the nursing quality score of the observation group was higher than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Failure mode and effect analysis mode can promote the improvement of nursing quality after femoral artery intervention and effectively avoid the risk of postoperative complications.
