Abstract Papular urticaria is often accompanied by severe itching, easy to repeat, reducing the quality of life in patients. On the basis of inheriting the academic thought of Yanjing Zhao’s dermatology school in the treatment of papular urticaria, Professor Zhang Guangzhong believes that the initial manifestation is the wind evil and stagnation of Xuanfu, the imbalance of the lungs and spleen is the key pathological link, and the weakness of the spleen and stomach is the fundamental pathogenesis. On the basis of the conventional methods of clearing heat and removing blood stasis, cooling blood and detoxifying, dispelling wind and relieving itching, the treatment emphasizes slightly sweating and relaxing Xuanfu to relieve external symptoms, xuanfei jinyun spleen soil to remove dampness, tonifying spleen and stomach, nourishing yin and nutrient to strengthen the defense, and the combination of acupuncture and medicine, internal and external treatment, complement each other. Combined with a typical medical case, this paper discusses the clinical thinking of Professor Zhang Guangzhong in the treatment of papular urticaria with acupuncture and medicine, in order to provide some reference for the treatment of papular urticaria with traditional Chinese medicine.
