Abstract MicroRNA (miRNA) can potentially regulate various aspects of cellular function by regulating the expression of multiple genes, which in turn is involved in immune and inflammatory responses in living organisms. Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is an immune-mediated chronic inflammatory liver disease. In recent years, miRNA has played an important role in the immune response and disease progression of AIH by regulating multiple inflammatory signaling pathways and influencing the expression of inflammatory factors. Some miRNAs are expected to become a novel non-invasive biomarker for the diagnosis and treatment of AIH. This article will review the research progress of miRNA in AIH, in order to provide new ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment of AIH.
