Abstract Objective To analyze epidemiology data of patients with acute carbon monoxide poisoning (ACOP) in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People’s Hospital (“our hospital” for short) from 2019 to 2021, so as to provide the basis for the prevention and control of ACOP in this area. Methods ACOP patients admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were analyzed by gender, age, occurrence time, occurrence place, cause of poisoning, and severity of poisoning. Results During this period, our hospital treated 921 patients with ACOP, age ranged from 5 months to 89 years, with a median age of 51.00 (35.00, 63.00) years. The number of poisoning in heating season was larger than that in non-heating season, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was statistical significance in the causes and places of poisoning of ACOP patients in different years (P<0.05). There was statistical significance in the incidence of disease in different age and poisoning degree grades (P<0.05). Conclusion This study provides the basic data of ACOP patients in our hospital, clarifies the epidemiological characteristics of ACOP in this region, and provides a reference for the prevention and treatment of ACOP.
